Summary Position requires a take charge individual applying knowledge and experience with RCRA and DOT regulations to a diverse nature of emergency response and scheduled environmental work related tasks. The key responsibilities and duties of the position are:

  • Operating heavy equipment safely, productively and efficiently in the Wastewater Treatment Facility
  • Solidification process of liquid or semi-solid, non-hazardous waste materials in a 25 cubic yard area, concrete mix pit using a Komatsu PC300 Excavator.
  • Working alone or teaming with other Facility Operators and MEI Personnel in the loading and unloading of material in and out of the trucks.

+Shop Laborer (Full-time)

  • This position is responsible for keeping work areas clean and orderly as well as operating industrial maintenance equipment within a shop environment for a waste management solutions company.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Unexpired PA Driver’s License or CDL
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Criminal Background check including MVR
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random drug testing
  • Ability to pass a DOT/Hazwoper Pre-employment Physical
  • Reading comprehension skills, math aptitude and mechanical aptitude

+Mechanic, Shop and Field (Full-time)
Experience: Complete preventive maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.  Must be able to trouble shoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.  Responsible for problem identification and resolution as well as equipment maintenance.  Support the maintenance supervisor in the safe and efficient repair of facility mechanical equipment.  Perform compliance, safety and housekeeping inspections utilizing regulatory guidelines.  Class III inspection license, Mack and Peterbilt truck experience and small engine repairs a plus. Types of Jobs Performed: Preventative maintenance including lubrication, brake and clutch adjustments and repairs:  lights, engine and components, tune-ups, transmissions, differentials, PTO’s, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, vacuum pumps, state inspections, brake replacements, tire and wheel mountings. Thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment utilized: Air powered tools, Air and hydraulic jacks, All State required inspection tools,     Oxygen and acetylene torches, Vacuum pumps, Compressors, Hand tools, Various electronic devices.Requirements:

  • High School graduate or GED
