Apollo, PA-McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc. (MEI) is pleased to announce that its very own Communications Professional, Chad A. McCutcheon, has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber of Commerce beginning in January of 2016.

MEI has been a member of the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber since its inception in 2014. The chamber is the result of a merger of the former StrongLand, Allegheny Valley and Armstrong County Chambers of Commerce. Prior to 2014, MEI was a founding member of the StrongLand Chamber.

Chad McCutcheon served as Secretary of the Chamber Reorganization Committee for one year, and was elected Secretary of the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber Board effective in January, 2014. McCutcheon’s duties as Secretary included a two-year stint on the Board’s Executive Committee. In 2014 and 2015 he served as the Co-Chairman of the Government Relations Committee which hosted events with local, state and federal officials and advocated the Chamber’s legislative priorities to those officials. He has served on the Membership/Marketing Committee for two years where he led various marketing projects. In 2013, he led the Marketing Committee of the Reorganization Committee in its efforts to create and build the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber website. Also in 2014, McCutcheon was appointed to Chair the Board’s Nominating Committee where he successfully recruited five new board members. In 2015, McCutcheon was appointed to the Board’s Search Committee, which was tasked with finding and hiring the Chamber’s first Executive Director.

“MEI has been dedicated to community service since our founding in 1947,” said Calvin McCutcheon, President of MEI. “We’re all proud of Chad and his excellent representation of MEI on all levels. I know he has what it takes to lead the Chamber, and I’m excited for him,” Calvin continued. “As a former Chairman of the StrongLand Chamber, I look forward to seeing what the future holds for both Chad and Alle Kiski Strong.” “It’s humbling to know that two generations of MEI’s founding family have been chosen to lead a Chamber. I wish him all the best as he leads the Chamber to new heights,” McCutcheon concluded.

“I’d like to thank everyone at MEI for allowing me to represent them at the Chamber,” said Chad McCutcheon, MEI’s Communications Professional. “I’m humbled and honored to be elected Chairman of the Board. I look forward to working with the 2016 Chamber Board and the Chamber staff to continue putting the “strong” in Alle Kiski Strong Chamber,” Chad continued. “MEI’s history of community service speaks for itself. To be its representative on this board is not a task I take lightly. I’m excited for what 2016 has in store for the Chamber, and am ready to hit the ground running,” Chad concluded.

“Having Chad on the Chamber Board has been a huge plus for MEI,” said Tim Dobrosky, MEI’s Director of Operations. “He promotes what we believe in by sponsoring Chamber events, serving on committees and fundraising for the Chamber,” Dobrosky continued. “It’s really remarkable what the Chamber does, and I know with Chad on the board, it will only get better.”

“I’m excited to continue working with Chad in 2016,” said Colleen Felentzer, Executive Director of the Alle Kiski Strong Chamber. “His leadership has proven to be solely focused on doing what is right for the Chamber,” Felentzer continued. “Our board and staff are confident we have chosen the right leader to continue building Alle Kiski Strong into one of the region’s best chambers,” Felentzer concluded.
